I love reading the ‘About Me’ stories on this platform. A shout-out to Quy Ma who is the founder of About Me Stories. What an awesome publication you started.
I thought I’d share 25 Things You Don’t Know About Me. As a writer, it’s hard to believe I have any secrets but here are a few, at least to most.
- I jumped on the elevator at The Ritz-Carlton in favor of the wine I just ordered so I could meet actress, Anne Heche. I was in such a hurry I forgot my club card. She was super nice and used hers so I could get to my floor.
- I can sing The Wild Colonial Boy with an Irish Brogue. I’m a huge extrovert which means I don’t need alcohol to sing it at a pub. I have my mother and aunt to thank for that. And this may be one of my worst-kept secrets.
- I can’t check out of a grocery store without donating at least a dollar or rounding up to the cause of the week. Even if I was just in the store an hour before. I’m a ridiculously big tipper. A few extra dollars means a lot more to a server than me saving a few bucks.
- I got the lead in my high school drama class to play the Steadfast Tin Soldier. My drama teacher said I was the only one she could hear in the back of the auditorium. Okay, I’m a little loud. There are worse reasons to…
