A Love — ly Thought #1
Just a thought to ponder from a relationship columnist
We’re big on productivity and goals. Just ask the internet.
But how many times have you heard someone say…
I want to love better.
Instead, we save our lust (sorry, intentional pun) for other things.
I want to be a better cook. I want to be a better tennis player. I want to be a better entertainer. I want to be a better painter. I want to be a better income earner.
Followed closely by — I want to learn a new language. I want to learn mixology. I want to learn to sail. I want to learn to knit.
We are all in, we love self-improvement, or at the very least to ponder it.
Just a thought. Think about it. Marinate in it. Ask yourself why we never hear anyone speak these words. I want to love better. We often focus on the broken aspects of our relationships and the other person. Who could blame us? Yet we say we want better relationships.
Maybe we should be setting a new goal.
I (me, myself, and I) want to love better.
