Amber Heard Proved There’s One Place Lying Is Rewarded

The lies spouses tell in divorce to win

Nowhere is lying more richly rewarded than divorce. There’s been some support for Amber Heard. But I find myself wondering if those individuals watched a significant portion of the trial or read and watched clips. I watched much of the trial because I wanted to get to the truth.

Along the way, I’ll admit my opinion alternated.

But there’s a reason the jury found in favor of Johnny Depp. Amber Heard was caught in repeated lies. The mountain of evidence she claimed to have didn’t exist. Her expert witnesses lacked the same credibility she did. For instance, her expert psychiatrist Dr. David Spiegel attempted to confuse the narrative.

He was questioned about something known as The Goldwater Rule. In 1973, the American Psychiatric Association mandated psychiatrists can’t comment on or diagnose public figures without having evaluated them. Essentially, psychiatrists and psychologists can’t diagnose in absentia. Yet Dr. Spiegel spoke in circles when questions about this. He said no doctor could be an expert witness if that were the case.

In reality, he was trying to confuse the issue. Doctors are hired as expert witnesses to evaluate data not invent it. Dr. Spiegel was violating the ethics…
