As a journalist I have another perspective. The Good Men Project was established in 2009. It’s actually a good thing to be picked up and have some of your stuff taken from Hello Love and published in The Good Men Project. It builds your resume as a writer and expands your audience. Years ago you couldn’t always make a lot as a writer so exposure was often more important. It’s a trade-off. You don’t make money but you get the validation of a well-established platform and their following. Even years later as s journalist I will still publish in other outlets without compensation because it’s worth the audience and branching out in different directions. Writing is a complicated profession. All the creative professions are and it’s a balance to make money, build your resume, and get exposure to readers. The Good Men Project is s solid outlet. You should feel good as a writer if your submission is included there.
