Before this happened to me Victoria I would never have believed it could. The divorce process is expensive and cumbersome. It takes time and money to go after people who do things like that. A lawyer I know once told me that in any other court of law someone who took out credit cards in your name, forged a loan in your name and stole money from you as a business partner would be prosecuted to the fullest extend of the law but in the family law system all bets are off because it's considered a family law issue and seen more as spouses I guess being angry. They get more of a hand slap.
