Hi George, I left a diagnosed narcissist and I wrote another piece here called "Don't Ask a Narcissist Why They Love You." It was centered around this same conversation with my ex-husband. You may want to take a look at it if you were with a narcissist. They have no ability as you know to love anyone but themselves.
