Hi John, Yes I agree with you that it's not all or nothing. We can make wildly different choices, especially if we are aware of past patterns. I've just spent more than a decade in the counseling and research of love and relationships and typically even if we aren't from the exact same backgrounds there are some similarities or familiarities in personalities and/or behaviors.
