Hi Marie, You are so kind. I have stopped beating myself up because my marriage counselor told me I was too hard on myself. What I meant in this piece was my children had no control over who their parents chose to marry when I was in my twenties and young and dumb. You are right I am the one who is responsible for raising my children and I thank God I was their primary influence because of who my husband turned out to be.
