Hi Michelle, It's wonderful that your daughter became a therapist. I admire that she took the bad and is using it for good. I am the child of divorce so I agree it does all wash out in the end. But it's painful and they can still be manipulated when they are loving enough to want to see the best or hope for the best in a parent who does this.
