Hi There, You are a good person so your wife got a fair settlement. We owned a business together and I trusted my husband. He was hiding assets as soon as our marriage began to struggle. Some of the greatest financial abuse in divorce is among the self-employed because they can manipulate, lower, and hide income. I stayed too long trying to fix my marriage so he had a lot of years of planning ahead of me. The bottom line is honest people go into divorce being honest and dishonest people go into divorce being dishonest and this is why many men and women do not get fair outcomes.
