How Coronavirus Is Stealing Our Final Exchange of Love
When you can’t say goodbye for the last time
May these words comfort those who have lost a loved one during the Coronavirus pandemic. The heartbreaking reality of grieving a final exchange of love.
When God Tells Me Goodnight
When God tells me goodnight.
When He reads me my story…I want you to know I thought of you first.
Our goodbye wasn’t misplaced nor was it stolen.
It was spoken with every day.
I wasn’t alone.
It was your face I saw, your hand that touched mine, your voice next to God’s.
No words were left unuttered.
They were held within every hug, kiss, and ‘I love you.’
Every love inspiring moment that made my story.
I hung tightly to each one of God’s words.
Because my story was beautiful.
It was God and love and you.
And because of this.
I asked God to read it to me once more.
I asked Him how He chose my story.
He said He gave me you…my beginning, my middle, my end.
I did not go to sleep alone.
It was your face I saw, your hand that touched mine, your voice next to God’s.
When God told me goodnight.
When He read me my story…I want you to know I thought of LOVE first.
