I broke into journalism years ago in Washington, D.C. one of the top ten media markets in the country it's that competitive (back then roughly 98% of writers were rejected) and I have a column on one of the largest digital outlets and submit to other major outlets and I submitted and was rejected by the Writing Cooperative a few years ago.
