I don’t care about my birthday it’s my nephew I care about. I think you would be right if my husband didn’t have a long history of emotional and financial abuse. That’s why my children find it disturbing. It’s really just the fact of putting the kids in a position of conflict. In our extended family, nothing is the same if we aren’t all together. With their father, he has barely come looking for them in eight years. Compounded by his fiance not having any interest in even spending a few hours with them over the past few years. They’ve met her in passing. My one son works with his dad and has met her more now. I’m sad for my nephew he’s young and his wedding has been on the calendar for nearly a year. Again, it’s not about my birthday, it’s about the bad things he’s done so my children feel it’s pathologically intentional.
