I don't know how I did either but he was a covert narcissist so he presented as laid-back rather than the overt narcissist that is obviously controlling he was passive-aggressive so as long as I stayed out of his way for the most part he wasn't a problem. It was a cyclical and a cycle where it would occur every 4 to 6 months if I took him on about something, was uncharacteristically demanding or needed something.
