I think you have identified correctly that it is resentment. One person feels taken advantage of. Worse, one person feels that there is a hardworking person and another who is not hardworking. In Kristina's case it seems there are extenuating circumstances by someone who has been disabled so maybe it does feel disproportionate. But this article was written from the perspective of two hard working people doing different jobs. Being a stay-at-home mom doesn't mean you work any less than someone with a job. I've had some working mothers tell me they chose to work because they thought being a stay-at-home mom was more difficult. In my case, I wasn't the typical stay-at-home mom. My husband used to say I did the volunteer version of working and I managed our finances and books for our business and investment properties, handled home repairs, mortgage and car purchases, I did all personal and home maintenance and helped with the business and raised our children. He went to work and that was his primary responsibility and he had three months off per year because of the industry he's in.
