I totally relate to what you’re saying. I was just about to title an article with a phrase I often write, “I didn’t choose divorce, it was the unfortunate result of exhausting all of my options.” I really didn’t want to get divorced because my own parents were divorced. I write from my own experience as a woman but I hear from lots of men who have married women who never deserved them either.
