Oh my gosh, your story is so similar to a very good friend of mine. She didn't have a happy marriage and when she left him it turned out he wanted to be with a man. She remarried and when that husband didn't treat her well, it was her ex-husband and his partner that were her family. They were the anchors in her life. The love between the three of them was genuine and deep. I can feel your feelings through your writing and through the emotions she shared with me over the years. It's a beautiful thing.
