Read my article called, “How a People Pleaser Attracted a Narcissist,” and “I Fell for a Passive-Aggressive Person,” and “Don’t Ask a Narcissist If They Love You.” I asked my marriage counselor who is a psychologist about the type of people who attract themselves to narcissists. It’s a given we are deeply caring and empathetic but he said people-pleasers tend to overlook the blemishes in other people. It’s interesting because some people think it’s a negative to be called a pleaser but in truth, it’s generally a happy go lucky person who is content enough to make others happy before themselves. Additionally, it often stems from the role we played in our families growing up. If you were the one who tried to keep the peace. I personally don’t see it as a negative because as you read these three pieces you will see the type of individual a narcissist attracts is generally as strong as they are weak, as confident as they are insecure, etc.
