Have you guessed it yet? The calendar square brides are fighting over. The most popular wedding date of 2022.

It’s the day approximately 90,000 couples will marry this year.

It’s my birthday and the day my ex-husband chose to remarry.

October 22, 2022.

What’s all the fuss about? It seems it’s the numerology of 10/22/2022.

According to The Knot, October is home to the three most popular wedding days of this year as well as 17% of all engagements. The top three betrothal dates are October 1, October 8, and October 22nd.

According to Generation Tux, October has been the most popular month to exchange vows for several years. Chapel of the Flowers in Vegas lists all five Saturdays in October among their popular 2022 wedding dates.

They also say, “According to Wedding Wire, May, September, and October are the most popular months to say, “I do.” Summer and winter have the most extreme temperatures, which is why many couples are selecting spring or fall months for their weddings.”

Chapel of the Flowers goes on to list the fall, September through November as, “Best weather for weddings! It starts to get cooler from the hot summer: crisp air and beautiful sunsets.”

So Vegas, here you come baby!

If you and your significant other choose to get married in the Marriage Capital of the World, aka, Sin City.

The Neon Capital of the Word, as Las Vegas is also known, reported that February 22, 2022 (2/22/2022) beat the previous record-breaking wedding date numbers recorded on July 7, 2007 (7/7/07).

By late February of this year, the Marriage License Bureau of Clark County in Vegas issued its “5-millionth license.”

There are theories as to why October has become such a popular month. According to The Knot, its held this position since 2015.

The Knot says, “Before that, summer was the season of choice — in 2009, for example, 41% of couples hosted weddings from Memorial Day through Labor Day.”
